Verizon Screws People out of their Rebates

Well, Verizon just screwed me out of $100 by denying my rebate for NO reason. So, I sent them the following letter. Let's see if they do anything. In the meantime, don't buy anything from Verizon that contains a rebate because you won't get it.

Dear Verizon,
I recently purchased a Verizon telephone with the assurance that $100 dollars of the purchase price would be returned to me within a short time, provided I followed a series of steps which included sending several documents, receipts and magical codes cut out of the telephone's box. I followed these instructions to the letter and mailed off the package. Weeks passed, and I eventually received a card in the mail which claimed my $100 rebate could not be processed. Although a reason was given, I do not feel the need to dignify it by repeating it here.

Frankly, I don't know what kind of ignorant pushovers you are used to dealing with, but I would like to assure you that I am not one of them. This refusal to pay the amount owed to me represents a deliberate and cowardly attempt to essentially steal what is rightfully mine.

I suppose you and the rest of the Verizon executives who profit from this blatant and nameless theft sit quietly in nameless luxury sipping expensive whiskeys and puffing on illegal cigars as you laugh at the impudence of the "smaller men" you shamelessly rob on a daily basis.

Well, I would like to assure you that this debt has been noted and WILL eventually be paid.

Verizon, you pathetic coward, you owe me $100 dollars, and until I am reimbursed I plan on doing everything in my power to spread the simple truth that you, your entire company, and everyone who works in your company is a foul thieving lout who deserves to be cheated by every other member of whatever community they inhabit. I will encourage every doctor I know to inquire of every patient they treat as to whether or not they are a Verizon party, and then extol a ridiculous and invented surcharge upon them. Before offering assistance or aid to anyone in need, I propose first ascertaining whether that party has any kind of Verizon affiliation. Furthermore, I will write derisive, condemning articles and publish them on a daily basis in my various publications (which receive no small numbers of visitations I might add). I will also start a Facebook group and not rest until I have 1 million members who are united in fury at this shameless, dastardly, and wholly unnecessary discourtesy which I have no doubt has been extended without provocation to a vast majority of Verizon's quality customers.

I am a person who pays my bills on time and endeavors to respect any contract to which I enter.

Verizon, on the other hand, does not.

Although you attempt to hide this sniveling, unethical, foul nature under a smokescreen of ridiculous procedural doublespeak, the simple fact is that VERIZON DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON THEIR STATED OBLIGATIONS!

Although I suppose most people just shrug their shoulders and accept that a denied rebate is just a fact of life, I, regretfully, am too stubborn to do so.

Verizon, you may rest assured that you WILL eventually pay me, in one way or another. Although I WILL not do anything that is illegal to reclaim this money, I assure you that the act of ignoring me will, in the end, cost you, Verizon, 100 fold what you so carelessly and stupidly attempted to steal from me. Your act of theft must be punished, and I will see to it that EVERYONE who has been denied their rebate check can find a force for justice in me. At this point, the only thing that will stop the ever increasing torrent of my rage would be the arrival of my previously promised rebate check (plus an additional sum for my inconvenience). But I sincerely warn you Verizon, if you fail to pay me promptly my fury could escalate to the point where it cannot be quenched.

I'm sure you think it's funny how you can push around the little guy and he or she has no power to respond. But let me assure you one final time, we DO have the power to respond, and it would be better if you acted honorably rather than make us prove it to you.

Sincerely,
Cheated Verizon Customer

Oh, and here are some "I hate Verizon" facebook groups to join:
I hate Verizon...
I hate Verizon
I HATE VERIZON

And here's a mildly entertaining furious rant by some guy.
