The Best Swimming Pool in Lima

So lately, I've decided to chase Michael Phelps...no, I'm not inspired by his times in the pool...I'm inspired by the number of calories he can consume! The guy's a furnace, he can eat fifteen chocolate cakes and not gain an ounce! Therefore, I decided to sign up for the swimming pool and get ripped.

I went to several places, but the one on Jr. Libertad No. 151-Miraflores seems to be the best (as usual, the map above has a completely different name listed for the street). The easiest way to find it is to start at the Ovalo de Miraflores and walk a couple blocks until you get to Energym, then take a left. It's just a block down. Don't get confused because there's actually another pool in the same building with Energym, but it's not nearly as nice as the one on Jr. Libertad (or whatever they call the street.

Here's a picture of the pool:

I took this image on the sly which is why it's a little bit blurry. Sometimes people get all bent out of shape at you if you take pictures, so I just aimed from the hip, shot, and then stuffed the camera back in my pocket. I figure anybody who's going to complain might miss one flash, but at two they'll probably zero in on you.

But you can see, it's a pretty nice pool.

The cost is 12 hours a month for 120 Soles, or 15 Soles for an hour. The hours for lap swim are:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday
6AM-9AM

1PM-3PM

6PM-9PM

Tuesday, Thursday
7AM-9AM

1PM-3PM

6PM-9PM

Saturday
7AM-9AM

1PM-3PM

Goggles are optional but they insist that you wear a swimmer's cap. There's a shower (hot water) and a change room there. There's even a picture of Michael Phelps to inspire you!
