So, I know that this is just the type of thing that I should let pass...but then I start to think back on all the times I lost a point or whatever for failing to cross a "t" or dot an "i" or carry a seven and I decide that whoever is responsible for THIS error should at least, on some trans-dimensional level, feel the discomfort of the universe which is caused by my angry blog rant.As you can see in the above puzzle, the Sudoku is all screwed up. For those of you who don't know, Sudoku is the most basic of games, and in THIS case, it isn't even the HARD Sudoku that was wrong...it was the EASY Sudoku, the one that you do first thing in the morning before your eyes are fully open and you have even SMELLED the first wafting breeze of coffee!
In Sudoku, the only rules are that each square has to have the numbers 1-9 (1-6 in the small puzzle) and the columns have to have the numbers 1-9 (1-6 in the small one again) WITHOUT THOSE NUMBERS REPEATING. They usually give you a few numbers so that you can get started (if it were just a blank field I suppose the game would be pretty easy...or hard depending on how much of a dumbass you are...everything's hard to a true dumbass).
For the most part, you can trust that the numbers that are GIVEN to you are correct, but when the same frickin' column has TWO of the SAME numbers then it's OBVIOUSLY all F-D up now isn't it!
I guess what annoys me about this is all those snitty little math assholes out there who never think they make a mistake. For example, I was taking a Praxis test the other day and there was one question where the answer was clearly wrong (it was a decimal point question). I know it was wrong because I got 98% correct and the question that I answered incorrectly (according to the stupid test) was, in fact, and error on the TEST'S fault! Sure it was just a stupid practise test so I didn't have to be penalized in real life over it, but just imagine if the same shit had happened to me on a test that I had paid $200 to take! They better by god get all those answers right, and I frankly am not even close to positive that they will (in fact, I'm pretty SURE that there are going to be MANY errors on the test).
You see, that's the problem with using standardized tests to evaluate people rather than just talking to them for five seconds. I'm sure that on a standardized test, even Sarah Palin can look like a functioning individual...but if you can't see she's a total dolt just after listening to her talk for two seconds then there's something wroooooongggg.... (heh-heh...let the comments begin...but seriously folks, she QUIT on the people of Alaska now didn't she? The only way she can recover from that is by volunteering as a community organizer in Chicago....(hahahahahah!)).
